The Peacock HR Consultancy is an independent organisation providing high level HR and Management services to schools, colleges and academies across the West and South West. We are a young company but with 41 years of experience.
We provide a dedicated HR service in partnership within the context of meeting your income targets and strategic objectives.
The Director has experience of providing HR services to The Bridge Learning Campus, Cathedral School, Filton Avenue and the Orchard Schools in Bristol.
A school will each be provided with a dedicated, highly experienced HR practitioner who will work closely with the Head teachers / Chief Executive and their management team. In support of that practitioner the Consultancy can call upon the support of an experienced employment lawyer at Quality Solicitors Burroughs Day.
Each school will have differing priorities for our HR service ranging from case work, supporting and advising the Head, the SMT, helping with implementing policies, understanding new legislation, writing policies, supporting TU relations and assessing risk.
You can choose to engage the Consultancy on an ad hoc basis or for an annual fee.
If you choose an annual fee the package will include:
- monthly “face to face” meetings with the Head and /or the Management Team to discuss issues and actions that need progressing
- email support 7 days a week
- telephone support 7 days a week
- plus ad hoc meeting on matters that need urgent attention
- attendance at staff meeting, sickness, disciplinary and performance meetings
You will always have the same person assigned to your school so that a real working and a regular person to contact. You will be able to build on that relationship.
Working with the HR Consultancy will be extremely positive experience. Instead of having a purely telephone support with the Local Authority (often the people keep changing), and at a fee we will beat, you will have one person working with you. Importantly we will work in partnership on a range of HR issues pertinent to your school and your staff.
Communication will be easy and you will get a rapid response to queries which will be reassuring to yourself and your management team
Establishing the Service.

When we understand your aims then we can build an HR service that is responsive and proactive whilst being sensitive to key areas of your service, allowing you to maintain your quality of service. In working closely with the management team and understanding the strategic objectives, we can anticipate areas of concern and implement strategies to minimise or avoid these. With a dedicated HR specialist, highly skilled in case work, policy development and employee engagement we offer an Academy/ College/School a specific, comprehensive HR service.
